On last week's blog I discussed the first five self-help tips in the article Ten Easy Steps to Happier Living by Mark Williamson and Vanessa King. This week I am aiming to look at the remaining 5 tips! The next tip they talk about is Have goals to look forward to. This helps to motivate you and present stimulating challenges.
Williamson and King sensibly suggest that your goals should be meaningful, realistic and achievable. They also encourage you to take the 1st step. The combination of helpful goals and action is important. It's useful to set goals so as to give your actions a purpose and structure, but goals without action are pointless! So once you've set some realistic goals to aim for, don't just sit there, begin to act - Take that 1st step!
