3 Questions to Make Your Life More Meaningful

Over the past two weeks on my blog, I have been discussing the self-help tips in the article Ten Easy Steps to Happier Living by Mark Williamson and Vanessa King. The 10th and final tip in their list is Be part of something bigger. Their argument is that if you have meaning and purpose in your life then you are likely to feel happier and get more out of what you do. My suggestion for what you can do to make your life more meaningful is as follows:

Answer these questions:

1. What are the most important things in your life?

2. Is there anything you can introduce into
(a) Your weekly routine and/or
(b) The way you act towards others and/or
(c) The way you think of and act towards yourself
that will help you to feel better about one or more of the things you listed in answer to 1?

3. On the basis of your answers, what is the first step you are going to take to move forward with this?

The above questions are adapted from one of a set of practical life coaching exercises, to find out more, go to: 50 Life Coaching Exercises
