Resisting Temptation

How good are you at resisting tempation?

In the famous Marshmallow Test of 50 years ago a group of 5 year olds were offered the choice of getting 1 cookie now or 2 cookies if they waited for 15 minutes. Do you think you would have been able to wait for 15 minutes?

At the link below you can find some interesting observations on what it takes to resist temptation and exercise self-control. I picked out 3 tips in particular:
1. Distract yourself when temptation arises.
2. Pause to buy yourself time rather than reacting immediately to the temptation.
3. Plan in advance what you will do to help you resist or avoid the temptation.
