I can't quite remember who Epictetus was but I think he was probably a Greek philosopher.

How true is this comment! Think of all those times we (you?) stay around with negative influences dragging us down. If you know people who inspire or uplift you then spend some time with them if you can. Caution though - Be wary of thinking people who just flatter you to get what they want - that is not the same thing as spending time with someone inspiring!
