Fear of Finding Out about Your Health

Recently there has been some research done into the phenomenon of people putting off going to see their doctor when they are experiencing symptoms of a potential health problem because of fear of finding out (otherwise known as FOFO) and the treatment/consequences that might entail. The major downside to this is that if you put off going to GP by the time you do go, your illness or condition may be much worse and harder to treat.

So the moral is: If you think there might be something wrong with your health, go to see your doctor.
