7 Stress Tips

To help you manage stress think of your body as a machine with a limited supply of energy which needs regular care, maintenance and rest to function properly. With that in mind here are 7 simple tips:

1. Eat a balanced nutritious diet with regular meal times.
2. Allow yourself sufficient time for a regular good night's sleep.
3. Engage in regular light to moderate exercise.
4. Set priorities in your daily tasks and concentrate on essentials, rather than feeling that you have to do everything perfectly.
5. Don't overload your body with alcohol or other substances which could cause mood swings or negative health outcomes.
6. If a task seems very daunting, break it down into small steps or small goals and focus on achieving the first step or goal before moving on to the next one.
7. Take some time each week to relax.

  1. Very sound advice, common sense but often we forget to slow down and think, especially those with ADD etc
