Today (5 December 2014) is the first anniversary of the death of Nelson Mandela, whose generosity of spirit in his tireless and ultimately successful fight against apartheid is applauded around the world.
Yet even in democratic countries where the rule of law supposedly exists, we still see some chilling reminders that discrimination and unwarranted violence against black people exists and may go unpunished, as in the distressing video at the link below:
