The Payoffs of Procrastination

Do you often find yourself in a position where you know there is something you should do but you keep putting it off?

Why would you do this? - Answer: Because there are payoffs to putting it off. These might be simply that it's going to be a lot of work and you prefer a lazy life. Or it might be that you are fearing the moment of actually doing it because of possible consequences, so you would rather not do it until you have to. Or there might be some other reason.
